NBA LEGEND BJ ARMSTRONG VISITS MANILA

National Basketball Association (NBA) champion and former Chicago Bulls point guard, BJ Armstrong, recently visited Manila to lead the Junior NBA training camp that gathered the top 40 Filipino youth players from all over the country.

Alongside Armstrong’s visit to the Philippines, major sponsor Hi-Smart Multivitamins for kids launched its “Think Like a Legend, Play Like a Legend, Meet a Legend” promo to give basketball afficionados, NBA enthusiasts, kids and adults alike, a chance to personally meet the former Bulls guard, who once played along another NBA legend, Michael Jordan.

The said event marked the culmination of the Junior NBA Camp’s pre-event activities. Fifty lucky participants were given a chance to own a Spalding signed by Armstrong. They were also treated to exciting games, freebies and surprises.

Benjamin Roy "BJ" Armstrong, Jr. (born September 9, 1967) started playing point guard and soon became an important cager in the NBA's Chicago Bulls dynasty of the '90s. He was part of the team that captured three straight championships, which started during the 1991 season.

Now retired, Armstrong used to be the backcourt back up of Hall of Famer coach Phil Jackson during the Bulls' successful title runs. He last suited up for the Magic during the 1999-2000 season.
